My writing was dry as dust. LCWG held an intervention.
Their comments were a major turning point in my writing.
So much so, I wanted to offer the same experience to other folks interested in writing.
Harriet sat on a folding chair, blue eyes smiling, surrounded by 32 excited volunteers, me among them.
Volunteers had gathered from all over the country to participate in a Sierra Club Service Trip where we would pull out invasive plant species at Point Reyes.
Pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, halves, dollars/
Hoarded by misers and studied by scholars/
Coins used in various vending machines/
Buying penny candy like jelly beans/
As a world traveling volunteer, another summer has whipped on by,/
And recent storms made me ponder, then research,/
As I visit my family. in Long Island, I learn,/
First, how the worst hurricane came to South Shore, in 1938,/
Could be why Papa purchased from The North Shore,/
