We are the famous and wildly renowned La Cruz Writers’ Group. We are a collective of writers. We write because we want to. We write because we have to. We write because we have stories to tell and poems to share.

RESOURCES include location map and event calendar.

Our stories are shared here, in the safety of a private site so we can comment, and offer feedback on each other’s stories. Our goal is to improve our chosen craft. One word at a time, we are becoming better writers, better storytellers, and simply better people.

LCWG was formed by cruisers, snow birds, and land lubbers. Beginning 2012 we met in the La Cruz Marina VIP room. Thanks to Covid, we now meet via Zoom. We welcome new members. Want more information? Send Lynn a message.

My writing was dry as dust. LCWG held an intervention. Their comments were a major turning point in my writing. So much so, I wanted to offer the same experience to other folks interested in writing.

    “Honey” by Lori Tighe

The day started like any other La Cruz morning with walking our dogs along the beach. The high tide rolled in exhaling and inhaling with the lungs of a wind storm.  The pastel palette of the sunrise kissed the sky. Our dogs scampered about taking in all the news their noses could sniff out.  I…
